M86 Secure Messaging Service is based on the M86 MailMarshal technology, industry-leading email security software with more than 7 million users worldwide. M86 Secure Messaging Service integrates the behavioural malware analysis technology from the M86 Blended Threats cloud service, providing in-depth protection from the latest unknown email attacks.
Overview
M86 Secure Messaging Service incorporates Text Censor, the industry’s leading content filtering technology, and the basis for Content Filtering as a Service (CFaaS) practices for M86 and our partners. M86 CFaaS, along with collective intelligence updates from M86 Labs, helps organizations enforce subscriber rules and policies to constantly improve and adjust email security.
M86 Secure Messaging Service offers the highest performing anti-spam technology in the industry in a pure cloud system. Virus BTN, the independent third-party testing service for anti-spam and anti-virus technology, ranked M86’s Spam Censor technology (at the core of Secure Messaging Service) number one in catch rates and false positives in January 2010.
It also enables users to apply detailed control over policies by customizing email security and content filtering settings.

M86 Secure Messaging Service delivers new configurations and marketing services for partners and ISPs who want to provide end customers with the latest email protection. ISPs can consume the service in wholesale, traffic grooming mode if they prefer to avoid capital expenditures or operating expenses, while adding a powerful email security service to their menu of subscriber services. The new billing and provisioning application, as well as extensions to related APIs, provide ISPs with complete facilities for integrating M86 Secure Messaging Service into existing operational support systems.
Finally, ISPs wishing to implement the technology platform in their own facilities receive a complete cloud node system reference architecture that addresses high availability, database replication, scale out and load balancing.

Reporting
M86 Secure Messaging Service provides standard reports and drill down reporting services. Standard reports offered include billing, bandwidth savings, message blocking, growth trends, service levels and more. Drill down reporting filters are available for message direction, time period, format, and returned record size.
